Meatless meat. You know, "veggie dogs" and such. I incorporate them into my diet now and then, and have become quite a connoisseur of these pretentious products.
Not that I have anything against "killing and grilling." In fact I'm not even a vegetarian. It's just I've found that, for my own personal diet needs, meat is best relegated to the 'now and then' category. Staying slender, healthy and ageless requires minimum meat.
Anyway, here's my review:
'Boca Burgers' get top honors. With a little imagination, some lettuce, tomato and mayonaisse they taste like real meat.
'Morningstar Farms Breakfast Links' come in second. They even taste OK microwaved- straight from the freezer to breakfast in a minute or two.
Meatless hot dogs- whatever brand- are OK, as long as you smother them with lots of spicy mustard.
Stay away from fake chicken products. They are all unmitigated emetics.
