It was a prescription of the type pharmacists call a ‘compound.’ In other words, something that was to be mixed up from a recipe, rather than most of the pre-manufactured remedies that we dispense.
This particular ‘compound’ (one of about a half dozen different types of ’Magic Mouth Wash’) had (thankfully) been entered into the ‘compound’ archives of the pharmacy’s computer on an earlier occasion, and was ready to be retrieved at the command of a key-stroke.
And so I did, and but could not supress giggles when “Magic Moth Wash” popped up in the description slot.
I don’t know who performed the original entry (probably me, ‘cause I’m one of few who knows how to enter compound recipies) but she was obviously neglected to proof-read...
My technician said she tried to change it, but couldn’t. Just as well. “Magic Moth Wash” has a nice ring to it...
