I knew she could do it. We had just pulled into the outermost lot of Long Term Parking at the Manchester NH International Airport.

And so she did, though when I asked her, exactly one week later, she did not remember her clever little rhyme. I did, however, and that’s all that matters. Good thing, too, because all of the cars in Lot D looked strikingly similar under a thick and concealing layer of white...
It had been cool in Florida, a good 10 degrees lower than normal for most of the seven days we were there, but sunny and mild compared to New England. I relaxed. Read a book. Bought a new bathing suit. Walked the beach.
Now I’m back.
