Hideous Fashionable

It's one of our 'mother/daughter bonding' things. Laughing about fashion critique pieces, that is. We usually see them in People Magazine, or on the internet. There are even TV shows centered around the concept.

The critics spend more time crafting clever criticism than formulating praise, probably because that's what people want to hear. They want to hear that those beautiful Hollywood women are not all they're cracked up to be, dispite the fact that they're dressed in gowns that are worth more than the GDP of a third world country.

The ironic thing is that the outfits which end up being trashed don't look (to me) any worse than that outfits that are lauded. I can't tell 'hideous fashionable' from 'hideous faux pas'...
