“Does this
device actually measure the rate at which I read? Words per minute, or minutes per page, or
chapters per hour?”
“Does it
average my sprightly reading sessions with my lazy reading sessions?”
“Does it
know that when I’m *yawn* tired I read the same sentence over and over again
until the…” *yawn again*
“E-book…
slips…out of my hand and….”

I can just see you thinking those things -- almost in protest of Kindle's presumptuous stats.

On vacation many years ago, I was at the same Covered Bridge over the Swift River (at the time, there were two over the Swift River, but I saw both), so your post brings back good memories.
