I don’t understand the American football in the least. But it’s
funny to flip the channels & see what the other networks are
offering in competition with the Superbowl.
It seems
they think no one is watching anything but the big game, and so slap on
the crappiest stuff they can come up with. Worse than the usual
dreck. The exception to this, though, is the Puppybowl. That’s right, the
Puppybowl- on Animal Planet.
This charming event
consists of a small herd of high-energy puppies frolicing in an indoor,
toy strewn pen built to look like a football field. The camera angles
mimic those of sports events, while the sound track of cheering
& fanfares in the background complete the picture.Views from the
’water bowl cam’ punctuate the action. The water bowl camera looks up
through the glass bottom of the water bowl.
Ever want
to see a close-up of a puppy slurping? Neither did I, but somehow I find
the spectacle inexplicably funny. The Puppybowl goes on for hours, and
I’m told there’s a Kitten Halftime Show, but I’ve never stuck around
long enough to see it. I’m allergic to cats, anyway.

Now, that almost makes me wish I had a TV!
I played football in middle school, and enjoyed it. But I've only once really enjoyed watching the sport. That was when I placed a bet on a certain game. It was only a five dollar bet, but it left me intensely interested in the outcome.
